The choice from the Quintet

Political side - the elected woman should have loved the politics of the Soviet Union and encouraged people to join her.

Leadership - The elected woman should, as an important representative know how to stand in front of an audience.

The candidate had to be from a poor family so people would not suspect her family bribing the judges. It was recommended for the candidate to practice in parachuting.

Out of all the candidates, Tereshkova was the best - the judges chose her.
